When you’re making your own venison burger at home or in your butcher shop, one thing that will make this job simpler is to have a meat mixer to help make things easier and to keep your work area cleaner. It also puts your mixes into your venison burger more evenly.
Although you mix your seasonings into the ground meat by hand, besides getting messy, you may not get your seasonings into your venison burger evenly.
Here are some recipes for some tasty venison burger which you can then shape into patties and put them on a bun, make larger patties for a ground deer steak or use it in place of ground beef for any number of things.

1 lb. ground venison
1 ½ tsp. horseradish
1 ½ tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 sm. onion, minced
¼ cup evaporated milk
1 tsp. sea salt
2 tsp. prepared mustard
3 tbsp. ketchup
½ cup soft bread crumbs
Combine all ingredients, mix and shape into patties. Broil 3 inches below heat or grill for 6 minutes on each side for large patties or until brown on outside and medium done on inside. Makes 4 burgers.
